Most secondhand purchases involve a gamble, but at GitaarBarbaar, we completely eliminate that uncertainty. We're a team of musicians and technicians with one shared goal: selling pre-owned guitars without hesitation. We believe a guitar with a story has more character, but technically, it must perform like a dream. That's why every instrument undergoes a rigorous overhaul in our workshop in Eindhoven before leaving our premises. This way, you can enjoy the unique vintage vibe, but with the assurance and service of a new instrument.
From passion to revolution
Our growth is the result of a relentless focus on quality and community. What began as a passion project in a modest workshop has grown in record time into an official brand with a team of specialists and an impressive headquarters in Eindhoven.
We don't believe in standing still. Since our inception, we've been raising the bar for the secondhand market every day. That drive has transformed us from an active Marktplaats dealer to a nationally recognized brand with our own line of guitars. Despite our growth, the personal connection with the musician remains paramount. Every step in our history revolves around pure craftsmanship and the promise: a " Barbarian used guitar " simply plays better than a new guitar straight from the factory.
2023 | The start and the vision
In March 2023, the foundation for our adventure was laid. What began in a modest 20 m² space in Eindhoven immediately had a crystal-clear mission: to shake up the guitar world by offering pre-owned instruments with the same service as new. A partnership with our first Master Luthier quickly followed, and official trademark registration became a reality to protect our unique vision.
2024 | Scale-up & Own line
Demand for "Barbarian-worthy" guitars grew faster than the market could keep up. To serve even more musicians, we launched our own GitaarBarbaar Single-cut guitar line in iconic colors. To ensure speed and quality, we partnered with logistics partner Sendly, allowing us to fulfill our "order today, delivered tomorrow" promise nationwide.
2025 | Expansion to the Headquarters
An absolutely phenomenal year, we moved to our current headquarters, a space three times larger than our previous location. This growth enabled us to expand to a full team of specialists, from luthiers to content creators. Our unique approach didn't go unnoticed: we shared our story and passion with thousands of listeners on the popular FRMWRK podcast.
